Mission
"The mission of the Employment Program at the Colorado AIDS Project is to improve the lives of people living with HIV and AIDS by empowering them to begin, continue, and/or maintain the work entry and re-entry process as they move toward self-sufficiency and independence."
Who is eligible?
Any HIV+ person living in the 10 county Denver Metropolitan Area, which is comprised of the following counties: Adams, Arapahoe, Broomfield, Clear Creek, Denver, Douglas, Elbert, Gilpin, Jefferson, and Park.
Services Offered
Employment Center Drop-in technology and resource center for finding work.
- Résumés; Cover Letters; fax machine; printer; scanner; copier; 3 computers with software with résumé, cover letter, and interview tutorials and internet access; phone access; Community Voicemail for homeless individuals seeking work; typing tutorial software; and possibly spelling software in near future.
- Information about services and resources from other agencies.
- Open Monday 1:30-4:30, Tuesdays and Wednesdays 1:30-3:30.

Individualized Job Coaching
- Strategies/resources for finding work
- Job referrals when available; we do not maintain job listings
- Skills/Interests/Values Inventories and Assessments
- Mock interviews
- Referrals to other Metro area agencies that assist with employment.
Training/Workshop Program
- Life Skills Workshops are currently in curriculum development and will be offered once per quarter beginning in the first quarter of 2007.
- Future trainings on HIV disclosure in the workplace and employment legal issues.
Job Development This service is in development.
