Coronation

What: The Imperial Court of the Rocky Mountain Empire, one of the oldest gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered organizations in the state of Colorado, hosts Coronation every year in honor of various non-profits. This display of pageantry is filled with remarkable performances from Court members, appearances from other cities’ Courts from across the country, presentations from various non-profits who have benefitted from the Court’s fundraising efforts, and the crowning of the new Emperor and Empress for the following year’s reign. Colorado AIDS Project has long been a beneficiary of funds raised by Coronation and has received of thousands of dollars from numerous fundraisers held throughout The Court’s 35-year existence.
