The new Art for AIDS

Art for AIDS has a proud history of featuring innovative and outstanding artwork by very talented artists. Over the years this event has grown into one of the largest art events in Denver, featuring over 250 pieces of art and attracting over 700 guests annually.

To move in a direction that will allow us to feature various types of art forms to a number of different art enthusiasts, Art for AIDS is transitioning from one large event into a series of smaller events that will take place throughout the year at various locations. This year, each event will focus on a targeted audience and will showcase a smaller amount of work. With the guidance of well-known local curators again this year, we will select a number of unique and extraordinary pieces for each of the events from the array of art submitted.

Backyard Event

A lavish backyard in one of Denver’s most exclusive neighborhoods is the setting for the first event in the new Art for AIDS series. Curators will choose a limited number of art pieces to be available for auction to the select guest list that will include 100 of Denver’s social elite. The evening will also feature cocktails and hors d'oeuvres from one of Denver’s finest caterers.

Art Gallery Event

One of Denver’s newest art spaces will play host to the second event in the new Art for AIDS series. This trendy space will be the perfect location for professionally-curated artwork from seasoned and emerging artists to be showcased to an up and coming public audience.

Outdoor Art Festival

Imagine a fall afternoon Farmer’s Market environment in the warehouse district of Downtown Denver near 35th and Blake streets filled with tents housing sculpture, contemporary glass pieces, framed photography and outdoor art like no other. Add to that environment, live glass blowing, body art painting, an opportunity to meet every artist showcased and food and drink, and you’ve got the third installment of the Art for AIDS series.
