Colorado AIDS Project | Get Involved | Advocacy
As the largest AIDS Service Organization in the Rocky Mountains, Colorado AIDS Project believes that our mission to improve lives affected by HIV and AIDS and to prevent HIV infection extends beyond client service. Colorado AIDS Project is increasingly advocating on issues that directly relate to our mission. These issues run the gamut from health insurance to comprehensive sex education.
We know that every 13 minutes, another person in the United States in diagnosed with HIV, and we know that we can stop it. We believe that through our advocacy efforts we can have a significant impact on those numbers.
As part of our growing advocacy efforts, Colorado AIDS Project is proud to endorse three bills currently before the Colorado General Assembly.

- SB234 - A bill that creates a permanent mail-in ballot
- HB1292 – A bill concerning the adoption of science-based content standards for instruction on human sexuality (Comprehensive Sex-Ed)
- HB 1355 – A bill regarding health insurance premiums for small employers
